The Christian community seems to stay in an uproar regarding sexual orientation and gender identity. I wanted to write stories that explored the intersection of faith and sexual orientation/gender identity in a way that moves the needle toward affirmation. I believe God created all of us the way God wants us to be. Our primary purpose in life is to accept God’s love and return it to God and each other.
Willow’s story in Feathers in Water explores her initial coming out and her battles to discover her authentic self and to strive for acceptance and affirmation from friends, family, and church. In Feathers in Flight, Willow pursues her dream of becoming a pastor in a fight that nearly destroys her and the person she loves the most. In Feathers in Flight we meet a trans teenager teen whom I thoroughly enjoyed writing. She’s a poet and a fighter.
I would love for you to follow Willow in her battle to try to become the person God created her to be. The books are available on Amazon in paperback and eBook formats. See below for a more in depth description of the novels.
